People Who Use Emojis Convey more

Match.com's annual dating survey found that people who use more emojis in text messages have more active sex lives

While this probably isn’t news to fans from the eggplant emoji, a new study found that single individuals who use emojis have more sex than people who abstain.
Match.com’s annual Singles in America survey - which polled 5,675 (non-Match using) singles whose demographics were representative of the national population according to the U.S. Census - found that people who have more sex, tend to use emojis more.

“It works out that 54% of emoji customers had sex in 2014 when compared with 31% of singles who didn't, ” Dr. Helen Fisher, a biological anthropologist from Rutgers University who helped lead the research, tells TIME. And the greater emojis singles used, the greater sex they tended to possess, as illustrated by Match’s useful emoji-to-intercourse graph:

According towards the data, released Wednesday, these statistics held true for women and men in the 20s, 30s as well as 40s.

And, food with regard to thought, women who use kiss-related emojis come with an easier time achieving orgasms having a familiar partner. That might be because emoji users cared much more about finding partners who consider communication an appealing trait.

It’s notoriously difficult to see tone in texts as well as emails, but emojis may bridge the gap. “[Emoji users] wish to give their texts much more personality, ” says Fisher. “Here we have a brand new technology that absolutely jeopardizes your capability to express your emotion… there isn't any more subtle inflection from the voice … and so we now have created another way to express emotions and that's the emoji. ”

Because it’s not every about that rocket ship/volcano/insert-other-suggestive-emoji right here.
“Emoji users don’t just convey more sex, they go on more dates plus they are two times more likely to would like to get married, ” Fisher states. “Sixty-two percent of emoji users would like to get married compared to 30% of individuals who never used an emoji… that’s very good. ”
